Assistant Controller / Finance Manager

Reporting to the CFO, the Assistant Controller / Finance Manager will provide hands-on finance and accounting operational support for our company. This seasoned digital online advertising individual will be a strong individual contributor and team leader for day to day operations, and will also help set policies and improve procedures and internal controls. The successful candidate will be able to apply his/her digital online advertising knowledge and analytical skills in order to synthesize data to drive actionable insights for the executive team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the general ledger month-end close process and preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, including reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
  • Manage the month-end billing process, including reconciliation to 3rd party campaign performance reports.
  • Continually evaluate and optimize month-end billing and close processes, striving to deliver process automation, improved accuracy and higher customer service.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly internal financial reporting packages.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop and communicate display advertising performance drivers, key metrics and current and future revenue and cost trends.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue and gross profit by product line.
  • Work closely with product team to communicate and evangelize internal product features for the accounting team.
  • Coordinate annual external audit.
  • Supervise, develop and mentor an accounting staff.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business is required; MBA and/or CPA would be a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years progressive accounting and finance experience, of which a minimum of 4 years must be in online digital advertising.
  • Experience in high-tech, fast growth start-ups is required.
  • Must be thoroughly knowledgeable with online advertising billing, 3rd party campaign performance report reconciliation, and revenue analysis process.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Experience with setting up accounting for foreign subsidiaries and managing intercompany transactions and elimination entries.
  • Proven ability and desire to work effectively, delivering accurate results under tight deadlines, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, dynamic environment.
  • Advanced understanding of Excel for financial modeling, proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC reporting would be a plus.
  • Experienced with Great Plains accounting software and FRx Reporting would be a major plus.

Responsibilities

Sales Planner

Position Summary

Turn is seeking an experienced Sales Planner to manage Turn's pre-sales process. We are looking for a highly motivated person with strong attention to detail and experience in media or sales planning who is looking to become an important part of the overall business.

Ideally, this candidate has a background in interactive advertising with a proven track record of managing the pre-sales process, building/maintaining client relationships and a sales planning repository of materials. The right candidate will be highly organized and detailed-oriented, self sufficient with solid communication skills and the ability to work on multiple ongoing projects.

This position supports account executives with their sales efforts and identifies opportunities for streamlining processes both internally and externally. The Sales Planner will partner with Account Executives to understand and take full ownership over the pre-sales process. The Sales Planner will handle ongoing communication with prospective and current clients, ensuring extremely high levels of customer service. The Sales Planner will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the ad business, help drive growth by fueling sales opportunities, and work cross functionally with network operations, client services, and other teams across the organization to compile necessary, pertinent information.

Responsibilities

  • Pre- and post-sales operations support to the Account Executive Team
  • Oversees the execution, completion and fulfillment of requests for proposal (RFPs)
  • Collaborates with account executives and across the organization to answer RFPs in a timely fashion, on deadline

Reporting to the GM of Platform Solutions, the Director of Platform Solutions is the primary technical resource for the field sales force when selling Turn's platform technology to our most strategic prospects and accounts at ad agencies and other media buying organizations. Senior Program/Project Manager

Position Summary

Turn is seeking a Senior Program/Project Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the VP of Engineering & Product Management, the senior program/project manager will be responsible for managing complex projects through the software development life cycle from requirements definition to product launch. This position will be responsible for maintaining the product pipeline with the latest delivery date information. This position will also be the "go to" person to perform what if analyses for introduction of new projects and to determine its impact on the delivery schedule. The position requires co-ordination between product management, the business, clients, engineering development and QA teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating between the various teams at Turn including business teams, product management, engineering development and QA to deliver product features in a highly efficient way.
  • Adding new features that come in and through effective communications with the various teams provide a very tight timeline for delivery of the requested features. This person will have the necessary communication skills to present the pipeline to exec staff at Turn and to clients.

Publisher Development Director - New York City

Position Summary

Reporting to the VP of Business Development, the Publisher Development Director will manage a significant portion of Turn's market optimization and media buying efforts. The position requires a combination of strong analytical skills, media buying experience, contract negotiation and aptitude.

Responsibilities

As part of the Publisher Development team, this person will work closely with advertising sales, client services and engineering to ensure that advertiser and publisher needs are efficiently and effectively met. He or she will possess deep understanding of the wide range of publisher inventory (portals, ad exchanges, various bidded marketplaces, media conglomerates, aggregators, vertical websites, etc) and advertiser offers (ad creative, messaging, landing page, conversion funnel-- across a very wide range of industries). This job also requires strong analytical aptitude to analyze and interpret quantitative data and problem-solve.

Required Skills

  • Media buying and/or business development experience in the context of advertising inventory acquisition
  • Direct experience with one of the large ad exchanges (Right Media, AdX, etc)
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Direct experience at a management level with the advertising network space
  • Understanding of the basics of Behavioral and Demographic ad targeting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic account management & contract negotiation skills
  • Team player and cross-departmental communicator
  • Presentation skills
  • Understanding of ad serving technologies (from Dart, Atlas & also Rich Media vendors)

Turn is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our growing team. Reporting to the RVP of Sales, this position will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships directly with brand marketing decision makers and influencers responsible for interactive marketing budgets. As a part of a well knit, cohesive Sales and Account Management team, the Account Executive will work closely and collaboratively with the Agency Sales teams, Client Services, Business Development, and Product teams to close new accounts, build new revenue streams and deliver best of breed customer service.
