Customer Support Representative - Client Services

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services, the Customer Support Representative position will be responsible for supporting relationships with a wide variety of clients across the spectrum of web advertisers, agencies, and publishers. The Customer Support Representative will manage the day-to-day support functions of advertiser campaigns and/or network publisher operations. She or he will leverage state of the art applications to assist customers in their participation in the Turn Network. The Customer Support Representative position offers an outstanding opportunity for growth and career development in a rapidly evolving environment.

Responsibilities

As a part of a close knit, cohesive Client Services team, the Customer Support Representative will work closely and collaboratively with the Account Management, Business Development, Product Management and Engineering teams to deliver best of breed customer service, ad conversion volume, and industry leading publisher eCPMs. The Customer Support Representative will play a key role in recommending and implementing strategies for driving ongoing client product needs. As an integral part of the Client Services team, you will also be responsible for educating advertisers and publishers about all aspects of our next generation tools and how they can be leveraged to solve their goals and objectives.

Product Manager

Position Summary

Reporting to the VP Product and Marketing, the Product Manager will be a subject matter expert for the pay-for-performance advertising industry, perform competitive analyses, gather market requirements, and synthesize them into product requirement definitions (PRDs), and assist with pre-sales support and post-sales training.

Responsibilities

As part of the Product Management team, this person will complete requirements gathering and the publishing of requirement documents for self-serve client UIs, APIs, and reporting/analytic tools. This is a highly interactive role, requiring the Product Manager to work closely with Software Engineering during the development of Technical Specifications, and the Marketing, Sales and Client Services teams in the creation of appropriate Pre-Sales Support and Post-Sales Training materials and programs.

Required Skills

  • Product Management experience in the field of online advertising, e.g., online networks, search engine marketing or technology vendors in this industry
  • Working knowledge of the systems used in the online advertising industry, e.g., ad serving platforms, rich media technologies, content publishing platforms, etc.
  • Working knowledge of basic HTML
  • Experience with the product development lifecycle of software delivered in a hosted service business environment
  • Demonstrable history of solid problem solving skills

Preferred Skills

Publisher Development

Sr. Online Media Buyer

Position Summary

The Sr. Online Media Buyer will be responsible for purchasing online media for the Turn market and fueling the next stage of Turn's growth. This high visibility position will work closely with the VP of Publisher Development, the sales organization, and the CEO to continuously optimize the ROI on our publisher inventory. We're looking for a seasoned professional who is detail oriented, proactive, possess a strong sense of accountability and is focused daily on bottom-line results. You need to be a strong negotiator and take a strategic and analytical approach to monitoring and improving ROI. You will need to leverage your strong relationships with top 500 online publishers and you should be somewhat familiar with purchasing inventory through major exchanges.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Online Media Buyer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Develop targeted relationships with medium and larger sized online publishers
  • Aggressively and effectively negotiate and purchase online media
  • Assist in the development of media placement plans and strategies through insightful analysis
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the results of online media purchases in order to optimize ROI
  • Work directly with the VP of Sales to identify target publisher inventory

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years experience purchasing and managing online media campaigns
  • Ability to produce and analyze performance data and metrics and optimize campaigns accordingly
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Established publisher relationships
  • Strong knowledge of various pricing models such as CPM, CPC, CPA and publisher deal structures including revenue share
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and pivot tables

Technical Operations

Database Administrator, Technical Operations Team

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Technical Operations, the Database Administrator will be responsible for the daily operations of a business-critical Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database system. This database supports business intelligence and production ad selection systems, and is a high-profile service within the company requiring the utmost quality of care. The right candidate will be ready to maintain high quality database services as well as tailor the system to suit evolving business analytics needs. As a member of the Technical Operations team, you will be focused on delivering rock-solid infrastructure for Turn's next-generation advertising network.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of a business-critical 2+ TB Microsoft SQL Server 2005 partitioned database system. This includes monitoring health and performance as well as responding to problem reports from users.
  • Support Engineering projects as they relate to SQL Server. This involves working closely with engineers developing new features and optimizing our OLAP system, which relies on SQL Server 2005 and SSAS.
  • Database tuning: find ways to get more performance out of a given system. This could include tuning Windows Server 2003 and a range of other areas, including SQL optimization, identifying and tuning problematic queries or SQL code, tuning storage or filesystems, memory usage, etc.
  • Disaster recovery. Manage standby database servers and ensure they are in sync with primaries at all time. Ensure that backups work and test the restore process. Work with Technical Operations staff to make best use of our Veritas NetBackup tape backup system as it relates to SQL Server databases.
  • Periodically migrate or re-organize data.
  • Work with Engineering on planning future capacity.
  • Manage both development and production database systems.
  • Participate in a 24x7 pager rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies.

Required Skills

  • Deep experience with MS SQL Server 2005, including database partitions, clustering and standby configuration, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ability to respond in a timely and calm fashion to technical problems and service outages.
  • The ability to go beyond "rules-of-thumb" when solving problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss technical ideas with colleagues of varying technical and non-technical backgrounds.

Highly Desirable Skills

  • Experience with MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and related ETL tools.
  • Experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems and shell environments.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Oracle 10g.
  • Experience in an online ad network.

Operations Engineer

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced engineer with a background in maintaining, setting up and trouble shooting a heterogeneous co-located data center network. This candidate will report to the Sr. Manager of Tech Ops and will be responsible for the daily monitoring of the network, maintenance tasks on various pieces of hardware, trouble shooting, and will be required to proactively recommend upgrades and changes to the network. Technical expertise, commitment to task, a great work ethic, ability to take on and solve complex problems, patience and organization are requirements to succeed in this position.

Required Skills

  • At least 5 years of network management expertise in a co-located environment
  • Working knowledge of firewalls and load balancers
  • Expertise in server hardware and disk subsystems
  • Thorough knowledge of Linux operating system
  • Database knowledge in MS SQL and/or Oracle
  • Flexibility with work schedule, which will occasionally require work during off business hours
